- Take an historical walk around the town and take in the beautiful heritage buildings.
- Located on the Barwon River, Collarenebri boasts some of the best inland fishing in Australia. Use the boat ramp to get your boat into the water and find one of the plentiful camping spots that are all the way from Collarenebri to Walgett.
- Visit the fascinating Aboriginal Cemetery, which is of great cultural significance to the Aboriginal people of Collarenebri. Burial places are covered in crushed glass to indicate the families they belong to and decorated with small ornaments. The early graves face west in line with European tradition, the homeland of the Gamilaroi people. Stop in at the Collarenebri CDEP in Earl Street for a guided tour.
- Don't miss the Collymongle Aboriginal carved trees located between Collarenebri and Moree. The trees are conveniently located next to a picnic area.
- Fossick for quartz, topaz, agate and petrified wood at the gravel pits
